DONNA JOHNSON-DIEHL, 100
Donna L. Johnson-Diehl, 100, of Belding, passed away Monday evening, January 
28, 2019 at Green Acres in Orleans Township, the daughter of Sylvester "Roy" 
and Hazel (Gardner) Spaulding.

Donna graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1936 as 
Salutatorian and later attended Cleary Business College in Ypsilanti in 1937. 
Donna's first husband was Albin Charles "Chuck" Johnson. Chuck and Donna 
enjoyed participating in two different dance clubs in the area. Donna was the 
first female employee of Extruded Metals or Mueller Brass. She took a five 
year break to have children then went back to Extruded. She enjoyed reading, 
sewing, needlework, dancing and working in her yard. While blessed with a 
long life she will greatly missed by her family and friends.

Donna is loved and survived by her children; Joanne (John) Newland, Marilyn 
(John) Rittersdorf all of Belding, grandchildren; Kevin (Raejeanna) Newland, 
Stevin (Becky) Newland, Anna (Richard) Noggle, Theodore Rittersdorf, 
Christopher (Sarah) Rittersdorf, great grandchildren; Brooke (Matt) 
Brecheisen, Kevin Bowen, Wyatt Newland, Charlie Newland, Owen Newland, Morgan 
Newland, Chloe Newland, Eliott Newland and Zachary Noggle, great-great-
grandson Jackson Brecheisen, step children; Carol (Carl) Sorensen, Mark (Sue) 
Diehl, Debra Diehl, Jenny Diehl, many of their qrandchildren and great-
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Albin 
Charles "Chuck" Johnson in 1991 and her second husband Richard Diehl in 2012, 
brother Perry Spaulding and stepson Brian Diehl.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral home, Belding with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. 
Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be in the 
spring in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Memorials may be given to Belding 
Library or Kindred Hospice. To share a message of condolence, light a candle
