Mother Had Been Working When Child Went Out to Play – Apoplexy Evidently Had Come Upon Her Suddenly. Coming in from play at about 4 o’clock Tuesday afternoon the 11-year-old daughter of Mrs. Fern Johnston, of Muir, found her mother lying on the bed, dead. When the child went out to play a short time before her mother had been doing her usual work and when she returned she found her mother not in sight, she called her but was unable to get any response. Upon searching she found Mrs. Johnston and immediately called neighbors who summoned Dr. Toan. Mrs. Johnston was dead upon the arrival of the physician and death was found to be due to a sudden attack of apoplexy. Evidently feeling unwell she had gone in to lie down and had died in a few minutes. Mrs. Johnston lived with her mother, Mrs. Kate Bradley and was a woman about 32 years of age. her husband is at present in the Canadian northwest.
