Belding Banner-News, 11 Apr 1968

Pearl Johnston, 85, of 925 S. Pleasant St. died Friday at Belding Community
Hospital following a lingering illness.  Mrs. Johnston was born August 22, 1882
in Ionia County.  She was married to the late Edward Johnston in 1923.  Mrs.
Johnston was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Harold (Rene) Edgett of Jackson and Helena
Jenks of Sarasota, Florida; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday at Huffman Funeral Home.  Rev. Marjorie
Hawkins officiated.  Interment was in River Ridge Cemetery.
