The Death of Mrs. Libbie Jonas, wife of Charles Jonas, took place Friday 
afternoon, January 23 at 6:15 o’clock, following a lingering illness which had 
stretched its course over more than two years.  Mrs. Jonas was a daughter of 
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Krupp, of the Miriam district and was from her girlhood on, 
highly esteemed by all those who came in contact with her.  The funeral was 
held Monday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Mary’s Catholic church in Miriam, 
Rev. Fr. John A Klick, officiating and burial was in the little cemetery there.

She is survived by her husband, two children, Esther and Karl and also by her 
mother, sisters and brothers, as also by a host of friends who knew her true 
character and worth as a Christian mother and neighbor.
