The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 10, 1927

Asa Jones, 72, a lifelong resident of Muir, died at his home there Sunday at 
12:30.  He was stricken with illness about a week ago while at his work at the 
Stafford factory at Ionia.  Later pneumonia developed.  For many years Mr. 
Jones assisted Chris Rhefuss in his meat market at Muir.

Besides his widow he is survived by two sons, Dr. Clyde Jones, of Boston, 
Mass., and Carl Jones, of Detroit.

The funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon though all 
arrangements have not been completed as yet.
