Eldon Ray Jones, 78, of Muir, passed away Aug. 14, 2002 at Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.  He was born Sept. 3, 1923 in Muir, the son of Ward and Adah 
(St. Clair) Jones.  He would go on to marry Irene Nobert June 21, 1946.  He was 
a World War II veteran of the Army, where he was a service tech in the Army 
Aircore.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Irene of Muir; sons, William I. 
(Madonna) Jones of Rockford and William A. (Kendra) Jones of Muir; one sister, 
Elaine (Raymond) Horn of Pewamo; sister-in-law, Millie Decker of Mt. Pleasant; 
grandchildren, Robert Olejniczak, Steven (Kim) Olejniczak, James Blair, Isaac 
Jones and Samuel Jones; and one great-grandchild, Kori Olejniczak.

Memorial services will be at noon, Saturday at Lake Funeral Home - Hull 
Memorial Chapel in Muir, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the 
funeral services.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the 
charity of their choice.
