Violet L. Jones, 49, of Greenville, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Spectrum
Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids.  She was born in Arkansas on Oct. 13,
1955, the daughter of John R. and Jimmie Bernice Johnson Raymond.  Violet was a
graduate of Belding High School with the class of 1974 and was a former member
of the Moose Lodge and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Post
101 of Greenville.  She was married in Greenville on June 8, 1979, to Donald A.
Jones.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmie Raymond, in 1977; her father in
1988; and her mother on July 8, 2004.  She is survived by her husband, Don; her
cousin, Nicholas Johnson, whom Violet and Don made a home for; her aunts in
Michigan and Arkansas, Nellie, Trudy, Frances, Betty, Rose, Carla; and her cousins.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with the
Rev. Ken Harger officiating.  Visitation is just prior to the services Tuesday.
 Memorial contributions may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,
Michigan Chapter, 1421 E. 12 Mile Road, Madison Heights, Mich. 48071.  Envelopes
also are available at the funeral home.
