Dick was born on April 20, 1930 in Belding, the son of William and Ardis (Hicks) Jones. Dick retired as a foreman from Extruded Metals after many years of service. In earlier years he had a country band, was a school bus driver for Belding Area Schools, was a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge No.1939, Greenville Eagles Aerie No. 4321 and the Belding –Ionia Masonic Lodge F A & M No. 355. He enjoyed music, gardening and the many family camping trips. He always had a joke to tell and was a real people person. Dick will be greatly missed by his family and the countless friends he enjoyed. Dick is loved and survived by his wife; Jan, and their children; Pamela R. Miller of Greenville, Rodney L Jones and Shelle Heether of Belding, Carla J. (John) Scharaswak of Stanton, Jeffrey (Terri) Christensen of West Olive and Amy Jones of Belding, 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren, his sisters and brother; Maxine Wilson of Wyoming, Louise Joslyn and Raymond Jones both of Belding and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters; Kimberly Jones and Vicky Franklin and three brothers; Paul Jones, Burr Arnold and Cleon Arnold. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life and luncheon will be 11 a.m. Saturday April 26, 2014 at Shiloh Community Church with Pastors Shane Prewitt and Ken Harger officiating. Memorials may be given to the Belding Freedom Wall. Funeral and cremation services were entrusted to Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
