Ionia Daily Standard, 12 Oct 1896

Joseph E. Jones, aged 68, died at his home on Harrison street, yesterday.  He
leaves a wife and four children grown to maturity: Victor in Louisiana; Mrs.
Alice Knowles; Bert, Muskegon; Mrs. John Simington, Ohio; Homer, city.  The time
for the funeral is not yet fixed.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
