November 21, 2020 JONES Janet K. Jones, aged 83 of Saranac, has gone home to our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, November 16, 2020. She was born September 29, 1937 in Grand Rapids the daughter of Amos M. and Wilma (Patrick) Welch. Janet married Phil L. Jones March 29, 1958 in Ionia. Janet partnered with her husband Phil to operate Jones Meat Market. She has been the backbone to our business, working beside Phil for more than 60 years. Janet has passed her enthusiasm, grit, and love of Jesus to her sons and their families. She was a member of Easton Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the Choir. Janet loved to travel, enjoyed the Ionia Free Fair. She adored her family and she will be greatly missed. Surviving are her husband Phil L. Jones of Saranac, Sons: Lee (Karen) Jones of Saranac and Karl (Sarah) Jones of Saranac, grandchildren; Lance (Heather) Jones of Lowell, Kyle (Kimberly) Jones of Lowell, Kent (Morgan) Jones of Lowell, Melissa (Jason) DeBoer of Grand Rapids, Kathryn (Peter) Woudwyk of Bryron Center and Crystal (Justin) Blood of Saranac, great-grandchildren; Caroline, Bennett, Lincoln, Hudson, Jaxon, Olivia, Ella, Miles, Elliott, Alexandria, Evie and Jack. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Debra Jones. Funeral services will be at Easton Church Friday, November 20th at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Donna Sperry Officiating. Limited seating available to allow for social distancing. Internment Saranac Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Church on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice, illuminate Skilled Nursing or Easton church. Funeral services will be live streamed and available on the Lake Funeral Home Facebook Page.
