The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 17, 1989
Adah M. Jones, 90, of 270 Railroad Street, Muir, died January 14, at Ionia 
Manor.  She was born June 4, 1898 in North Plains township, the daughter of 
Roy and Inez Goodwin St. Clair.  She attended Muir High School and Ionia 
County Normal, and taught in Stone and Hayes rural schools.  She was a member 
of Lyons Baptist Church and a charter member of the Golden Years Senior 
Citizens of Muir.  She was married to Ward Jones in 1922.  He died in August 
of 1977.

She is survived by one son. Eldon of Muir; on daughter, Elaine Horn of Pewamo; 
11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.  One brother preceded her in death.  

Funeral services are January 18 at 2 p.m. at Lyons Baptist Church, with the 
Rev. Paul Carmichael officiating.  Burial will be in Muir Cemetery.  Until 
noon Wednesday visitors may call at the Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir.
