He was married to Mary Gillen of the same place in 1874. To this union two children were born, Edna and Ray. The mother passed away in April 1921 and Edna in 1924. Mr. Jones was married to Mrs. Emma Pugh May 4th, 1924, who with the son and many friends and other relatives mourn his passing which occurred March 12, 1926, aged 80 years, 9 months and 15 days. Mr. Jones was a member of the M. E. church here for more than twenty-five years and a charter member of the F. and A. M. order about forty years. He was a good friend and a kind neighbor and his earlier home when in better health was a home which sheltered several motherless children. He was very useful in his later years doing spraying of the fruit trees about the village. His services will be missed by many. The funeral was held at the M. E. church Monday afternoon, Rev. J. A. Blickenstaff preaching and a quartet composed of Messrs. Wm. and Leon Gilson, Karth and Morgan sang, and burial was at Lake Side cemetery. Those attending the funeral from away were Mrs. Raymond Collins, Mrs. Vern Frie of Battle Creek, Mrs. Beerl Scudder of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Ray H. Jones of Bellevue, Mr. and Mrs. Guy VanBlarcom of Vermontville, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Moyer of Charlotte, Mrs. Ella Gorham, and Miss Ilo Gorham of Delta and George Jones of Augusta. Card of Thanks We wish to thank all who so kindly assisted us in our loss of husband and father, the beautiful flowers from the M. E. church, U. B. church, W.C.T.U., Lake Odessa Canning Co. also many friends who sympathized with us which will long be remembered, also the Masonic Order, the Pastor, the singers, those who furnished cars.
