The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 23, 1936
Funeral services for Henry Smith Jones were held Sunday afternoon March 22, 
from the Stone funeral home at 2:30 o’clock.  Rev. F. J. Fitch officiated and 
interment was in Highland Park cemetery.

Mr. Jones died at the home of his sister, Mrs. George Ostrander, Ionia 
township, Thursday evening after a short illness of heart trouble.  He had 
lived in this vicinity all his life and was a paperhanger by trade.

Out of the town friends and relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. 
J. Croff, Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. Guy Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jones, Grand 
Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Buer, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Stuck, Muskegon; Mr. and 
Mrs. Roy Jones, Miss Esther Jones, and Charles Jones, Grand Rapids; Mrs. Mary 
Jones, Miss Evelyn Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wells, Mrs. Cecil Hoy, of Grand 
Ledge, and Mr. and Mrs. George Hill of Greenville.

Pallbearers were Bert Winslow, Frank Hass, Leonard Baldyin, and Elmer 
Steinberg.  

Surviving him is a brother, Guy Jones, of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. 
Joseph Boer, Muskegon and Mrs. George Ostrander, Ionia township.
