Daily Sentinel - Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1917

Mrs. Charlotte Jones died this morning at 6:30 at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Lena Baur of Muskegon, whom she had been visiting since September. She 
was an old time resident of Prairie Creek, the widow of Smith Jones, and 
leaves the following children; Peter Jones of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Hattie 
Murray, Henry and Guy Jones of Ionia, Jack Jones of Casnovia, and Mrs. Maude 
Ostrander of Easton. Walter L. Winchell left for Muskegon this morning to 
return with the remains this evening or Thursday morning. Funeral services 
and burial will be here.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Jones were conducted at the Baptist 
church Friday afternoon. Mrs. George Fox and Mrs. W. L. Decker furnished the 
music and the bearers were three sons, Peter, Henry and Guy Jones, two sons 
in law, George Ostrander and Joseph Baur, and a grandson, Herbert Jones. 
Interment was in Highland Park. From out of the city at the services were 
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jones and son Herbert of Grand Rapids, and Mr. and Mrs. 
Joseph Baur of Muskegon.
