Ionia Sentinel - Thursday, Oct. 22, 1896

The funeral services for J.E. Jones were held Wednesday afternoon from the 
residence, corner Harrison and Cleveland streets. They were conducted by Rev. 
D. F. Barnes, D.D., and the remains were interred in Highland Park cemetery. 
Deceased was 68 years of age and has long been a resident of Ionia. He leaves 
a wife and five children, Mrs. J.K. Knoll of Dundee; Mrs. John Simington, of 
Lima, Ohio; James A. Jones, of Muskegon; Homer Jones, of this city, and Victor 
Jones of Louisiana. 

All were here to attend the funeral except Victor.
