The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, December 5, 1967


A longtime Vickeryville resident, Mrs. Meda C. Jones, died early Monday 
morning in Sheridan hospital.  She had lived in the Vickeryville area for the 
past 67 years.  Born March 7, 1877 in Augusta, she as the daughter of John and 
Alice Curtis and the widow of Byron Jones.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. Grey Jones of St. Louis, Mo., and Joel Jones, 
route 1, Vickeryville; three daughters, Mrs. Sid Bakewell of Dearborn, Mrs. 
Edward Streicher of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Peter J. Vanderlip of Santa Ana, Calif., 
20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Stebbins funeral home, 
Sheridan with Rev. Ralph Kline officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Ridge 
cemetery in Vickeryville.
