RAY E. JOPPIE

SUNFIELD - Ray E.Joppie, 51, of 256 First St.,Sunfield, died Monday at his 
residence.

He was born Nov. 8, 1934, in Sunfield, the son of Dennis & Nina (Holton) Joppie.

He was a former employee of Weiser Lock Corp and the former operator o the 
Lakewood Auto Parts store in Lake Odessa. He served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 
1951 to Dec. 1955. He was a Sunfield village council member and involved in many 
community projects.

He married Cathy McKithan on Oct. 27, 1973, in Houston, Texas. They returned to 
live in Sunfield in Aug. 1977,

Surviving are his wife; one son David, of Grand Rapids; two daughters, Jennifer 
& Julie, at home, his mother; Nina Joppie of Sunfield; one sister, Renee Jackson 
of Florida; several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Mapes-Fisher Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Sunfield Cemetery.
