Ionia Sentinel, 23 Oct 1970

Irving J. Jordan, 60, of route 3, Lake Odessa, died Friday morning at his 
home.  He was a retired farmer born in Woodland, November 11, 1909, the son of 
Jasper and Nettie Smith Jordan.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and was 
married to Violet Curtis of Woodland, June 27, 1931.  He was a member of Zion 
Lutheran church of Woodland.

Surviving besides his wife, Violet, are two sons, Ogal and Terry of Woodland 
and a daughter, Mrs. Richard Kimble of Lake Odessa; nine grandchildren; one 
sister, Mrs. Elwood Henney of Lake Odessa and a brother, Ward Jordan of 
Woodland.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran church in 
Woodland,  Rev. Randall Metz will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside 
cemetery.
