Ionia Standard, 25 Jun 1886

Saranac. – James E. Jordan died last week at the residence of Eugene Payne in 
South Boston, at the advanced age of 92 years.  He was engaged in former years in 
the manufacture of boots and shoes in this village, and at one time ran quite an 
institution.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was buried 
in South Boston Cemetery.]
