Mrs. Nettie H. Jordan, 67, resident of Woodland, route one, died at 6 o'clock 
Saturday morning at Osteopathic hospital, Grand Rapids where she had been a 
patient for three days.  She had been a patient twice previously, once for two 
weeks prior to surgery.  Born March 10, 1889 in Kent county she was the 
daughter of Jonathan and Josephine Smith and came to the Woodland area when a 
young child.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church for 20 years and was 
married to Jasper Jordan February 2, 1907 in Lake Odessa.

Preceded in death by her husband Jasper, February 20, 1944,she is survived by 
one daughter, Mrs. Elwood (Arleta) Heaney of Lake Odessa; three sons, Irving, 
Cecil and Ward, all of Woodland; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and 
one brother, William Smith of Woodland.

Friends and relatives are being received at the Pickens funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa until Tuesday morning when the body will be removed to the Zion Lutheran 
church and funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm with the Rev. George Neiman 
officiating.  Interment will be in Lakeside cemetery.
