FUNERAL IN GRAND RAPIDS. BURIAL AT LAKE ODESSA ----------- Birney Jordan, a former resident of this vicinity, died in Grand Rapids Saturday afternoon while driving his car on Lyon street, near Bond avenue. A passing physician seeing his car run into a parked car and the driver collapsed, took him to Butterworth hospital where it was decided he had died of heart disease. The funeral was held in Grand Rapids Tuesday and burial was at Lakeside cemetery. Mr. Jordan was the son of Dayton Jordan, who lives just over the line in Woodland township about two miles south of Lake Odessa. Up until ten years ago he was a resident of this locality, living south and the Tamarac church. After going to Grand Rapids he became a building contractor and resides at 2253 Everest Ave., S. E. He was 55 years of age. He leaves beside his wife, his parents, a sister Mrs. Al Laird of Battle Creek, a brother Lee Jordan who lves in the northern part of the state, Willam Jordan of Grand Rapids and brother Fred who lives at home. Mrs. Jodan was for some time a pastor of a church in Grand Rapids. She is a sister of William Gavit of this place.
