He was born November 13, 1899 in Huntington, Tenn., the son of Henry and Cardovia (Palmer) Jordan. He lived in Detroit for 10 years before moving to the Lake Odessa area in 1920. He had a grocery/meat market from 1937-1943 in Lake Odessa and was a dairy farmer for 22 years. He married Kathleen Tasker on April 4, 1926 in Lake Odessa. He attended the West Berlin Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by one sister-in-law, Ruth Jordan, of Dyresburg, Tenn. and one niece Irene Armstrong of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen; two brothers, Jehue Jordan and Dossie Jordan; one half brother, Raymond Jordan; and one sister Jeanette. Funeral services will be held Friday December 8, 1995 at 1 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa with Rev. David Henry and Rev. Alvin Barker officiating. Burial is in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. Visitation is Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Berlin Wesleyan Church.
