Peter Jordan, 68, died at 12:30 Sunday afternoon, May 14.  Although he had 
been ill for several moths of a heart ailment, his death was sudden and 
unexpected.

Mr. Jordan was born in Hubbardston, October 8, 1870, the son of Richard and 
Mary (Clark) Jordan.  He spent the early part of his life in the vicinity of 
Hubbardston, coming to Ionia about 35 years ago.  For the past 11 years he had 
been employed at the Ionia State Hospital.

His marriage to Mary Maloney, also of Hubbardston, took place in 1905.  Mrs. 
Jordan and their two daughters, Miss Marion Jordan, Ionia, and Mrs. Helen 
Batson, Detroit, survive him.  He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ada Grant, of 
Hubbardston; a brother, Richard Jordan, of Owosso, and one grandchild, Joan 
Agostini, Ionia.

Funeral service was from SS. Peter and Paul church at 9:00 Wednesday morning, 
with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
