Joslin, 79, Gowen, died April 25 a United Memorial Hospital, Greenville after a four month illness. A farmer, Mr. Joslin, was a resident of Gowen for 12 years. He was born July 1, 1883, in Smyrna to Charles and Adelaide Joslin. On Sept. 22, 1910, he was married to Bessie Watson, who survives. Surviving besides his widow, Bessie, are two sons, Fred and Ted of Gowen; a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Ella) Chapman of Greenville; four sisters, Mrs. John Ashley and Mrs. Cora Davis of Smyrna, Mrs. Marion Wiseman, Belding and Mrs. Alva Tower, Grand Rapids; a brother, Frank, Smyrna; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Greenville, with Russell Cooper officiating. Burial was in Smyrna cemetery.
