Joslin, 85, died Saturday at the home of his son, Edgar Joslin, 324 Hanover St. He lived at Five Mile Rd., and had been at the home of his son for the past month. Born in Smyrna, June 24, 1879 Mrs. Joslin had spent his life in the Belding area. He had owned the Empress and Star Theater for 13 years and was also a Smyrna rural mail carrier. Presently, he was retired from Grand Rapids Metalcraft Co. Survivors include his wife, Audie; one son, Edgar of Belding; four sisters, Mrs. Cora Davis, R.3, Mrs. Marian Wiseman, Belding, Mrs. Elva Tower of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Joyce Ashley, R.3; one grandson, Donald E. Joslin of Greenville. Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Dean, pastor of Central Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Smyrna cemetery. Pallbearers were Royal Davis, Ted Davis, Earl Davis, R.C. Seeley, Rollin Brownell, Robin Brownell.
