All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/mifiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Marilyn Ransom mlnransom@chartermi.net August 15, 2010, 11:27 pm The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, February 21, 2006 Beverly Jane Joslyn 81 of Ionia, beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, aunt, and sister-in-law was born into eternal life February 17, 2006 as a result of a stroke. verly was born on May 2, 1924 to Herman and Margery (Wood) Lyle in Ionia, MI. he graduated from Ionia High School with the class of 1941 and then worked as the accountant of Hales Mill. On August 1, 1949 in Coldwater, she married Jack Joslyn and devoted her life to him, their children and her extended family. She was an active member of Dildine Community Church and New Life Christian Reform Church where she donated dozens of her famous coffee cakes over the years. Beverly was the Easton Township representative for the Ionia Dial-a-Ride for seven years. She was probably the happiest in her kitchen baking or cooking something delicious for her family or friends. Her quiet demeanor hid a generous and loving heart. Her love and support will be forever missed. Beverly was preceded in death by her only sister June Malokofsky and her granddaughter Laine Hedley. She leaves behind her loving husband Jack and son, Lyle (Amy) Joslyn of Ionia, daughters; Mary (Jim) Adams of Trinidad, TX, Lucy (Doug) Hedley of Lansing, Grace (Howard) Brownell of Ionia. "Cute Grandma" will be deeply missed by her eight grandchildren; Amy Hedley, Trena (Chris) Kerrins, Brandy Brownell, Holly (Jason) French, Grant (Emily) Hedley, Samantha Brownell, Lyle Joslyn II, and Harry Joslyn and three great grandchildren; Luke Kerrins, Grant Hedley, and her namesake, Ellie Jane Kerrins. Also surviving her are special friends, Penny McCord and Annie Simon. Special thanks to the doctors and staff of Sparrow Hospital Neuro ICU for their loving and sensitive care. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Dave Flagel of Lakewood United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Orleans Township Cemetery.
