Dorothy Ione (Mrs. James C.) Judd, 85, died Jan. 22, 1997.

Mrs. Judd was born in Portland Nov. 6, 1911, the daughter of Frank and Maude 
(Reynolds) Gilbert. She was retired from the State of Michigan where she served 
as a chief switchboard operator.

Surviving are one son, Michael (Margery Briggs); grandson, Andrew Bosworth; 
brother, Francis (June) Gilbert of Wilmington, N.C.; sister-in-law and best 
friend, Doris Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Judd; and siblings, 
Marguarite Hemingway, Burton Gilbert, Ila Swartz, Owen Gilbert, Lucille Barnes, 
Lee Gilbert, and Shirley Urie

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. in the Portland First 
Congregational Church, with Rev. Dr. Peggy Riethmiller officiating.

Contributions may be made to the church.

Arrangements are handled by Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel, Portland.
