The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, September 18, 1946

Thirza Jury died in the Clinton Memorial hospital September 17 at 6 p.m. 
following a short illness.  She was born in Lyons January 12, 1872, but had 
been a resident of Pontiac for the last few years.  At the time of her death 
she was living with her sister, Mrs. Louis Pottruff, of Lyons.  She was 
married in Traverse City to W. O. Jury.  She was a member of the Episcopal 
church and the Lyons chapter of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by three sons, Wallace and Walter of Pontiac, and Ward of 
Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Curtis Hansen of Texas; three sisters, Mrs. William 
Crandall of Muir, Mrs. Sheridan Ford of California, and Mrs. Pottruff of 
Lyons; one brother, Gilbert Smith, of Pontiac.

Services will be held from the Shaw-Rivett funeral chapel Friday at 1:30 p.m. 
with burial in the Lowell cemetery.  It will be an Episcopal service.
