Thomas Jefferson Justice, known to most as “T.J.”, age 86, of Clarksville, 
went to be with the lord on Saturday evening, January 3, 2009.  He was born in 
Clarksville on September 26, 1922 to Arthur and Maude (Robbins) Justice.

T.J. was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cleo Post; son, Charles 
Justice; and Annie Justice, his loving wife of 66 ½ years, who passed away on 
December 8, 2008.  He will be sadly missed by his three children and one 
daughter-in-law, Arthur Justice, James and Nancy Justice, and Alicia Justice 
Smith; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Rebecca 
Ruff of Grand Rapids.

T.J. had proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII.  His 
friends knew him as an avid shuffleboard player.  He loved to watch NASCAR in 
the summer, and the Detroit Lions in the winter.

T.J. adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  T.J.’s family wishes 
to thank Dr. Ken Hershberger and Dr. Don Gingerich for caring for their father 
so lovingly through the past years, and giving his family more time with him.

The family invites relatives and friends to a luncheon to celebrate the lives 
of T.J. and Annie at the Clarksville Village Hall on Saturday, January 24, 
2009 from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m.  

Private family burial took place in Clarksville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, 
the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia 
County Commission on Aging to support the meals programs for seniors.  
Arrangements were made by the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
