Ionia Sentinel Standard - March 12, 2011


Marian G. Kage, 89, of Ionia, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away 
on Thursday, March 10, 2011. She was born on Sept. 29, 1921 in Lincoln Park.

Mrs. Kage enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles. She worked for Gerber 
products in Fremont, for several years. She was preceded in death by her 
parents; husband, Harold “Hal” Kage, and son, David H. Kage.

Surviving are her children, Christine S. (Harry) Mills of Ionia and Vanessa L. 
(Dan) Finch of Hesperia; five grandchildren, Christopher Kage, Graham Mills, 
Aaron (Kelly) Mills, Jessie Hornbrook, and Jacob (Kendra) Hornbrook; great 
granddaughters, Addison and Breslyn Mills; sister-in-law, Vina Kage.

A Memorial Service will be held in the spring. For those desiring, memorial 
contributions may be made to the Ionia County Commission on Aging, in memory of 
Mrs. Marian G. Kage. Arrangements are entrusted to the Scharuben-Lehman Funeral
