The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 11, 1958
Word was received her Monday of the death of Mrs. Fannie Kalb at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. Russell Miller of Falls Church, Virginia.  Mrs. Kalb, widow 
of John Kalb, was a long time resident of Lyons and still owned her home 
here.  Born in Germany, August 25, 1884, she and Mr. Kalb came to the United 
States on the same ship and were married at Ellis Island.  She was a member of 
the Lyons Methodist church and a life member of Evergreen chapter, Order of 
the Eastern Star, at Lyons.  

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Miller, and son, Dr. John Kalb of Endicott, 
New York; four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. John Schaeffer of St. Johns.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lyons 
Methodist church with the Rev. Richard Kidder officiating.  Burial in Lyons 
cemetery.
