Ionia County News, 18 Mar 1937

Lawrence Kammers, 49, died at his home on West Lincoln Ave., early Tuesday 
morning, March 16, of apoplexy.

He was born in Easton township, August ??, 1888 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph 
Kammers and had lived in Ionia for about 25 years.  For more than ?? years he 
had operated a taxi.  Some months ago he suffered a broken hip and had been 
receiving treatment in the University hospital, Ann Arbor, returning to his 
home here last week.

Besides his widow he leaves a son, Wayne and a daughter Marie; his parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. Jos. Kammers, and a brother Jos. Jr. of Easton.  Funeral services will 
be from the Fay Hall Funeral home, Dexter Street, Friday afternoon at 2:30.
