Ionia Sentinel Standard  - Aug. 9, 1975


Mrs. Helen Rose (Mrs. Wayne) Kammers, 50, of 1030 West Tuttle road, Ionia, died 
unexpectedly Friday morning after being admitted to Gratiot Community hospital 
in Alma.

Born in Louisiana, Sept. 23, 1924, she is survived by her husband Wayne; one 
son, Arthur Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, La; and a daughter Connie LaHaye of 
Rhoda, Spain. 

Also surviving is her mother, Mrs. Ely O’Bey of Cameron, La, a brother and two 
sisters as well as two grandchildren. 

Services will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Kauffman – Doughty funeral home with Rev. 
Roy Pitts of First Baptist church officiating.

Burial is in Easton Cemetery.
