Kamradt, 53, of Six Lakes, a former Ionia resident, died Thursday morning at his residence. Born Jan. 23, 1932, in Conklin , he was the son of Arthur and Bernetta Mosher Kamradt. He was employed at the Ionia State Hospital and Riverside Center for 18 years prior to his retirement in June 1979. He attended St.John's Lutheran Church and Ionia High School. He moved to Six Lakes in 1969. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Ionia Moose Lodge, Disabled American Veterans, Cooties Pup Tent No.76 of Sheridan the Lutheran hurch of Six Lakes; the American Legion in Arizona and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, also in Arizona. Surviving is his companion Leona Vogelsong; a stepson, Dewayne Cook of Traverse City; three foster sons, Harry Wilbur of Belmont, Steven Vogelsong with the Navy in Japan; and Roger Vogelsong of Texas; two daughters, Katherine Chartier of Alma and Carol Smith of California; one stepdaughter, Sharon Rausch of Edmore; four foster daughters, Deborah Burton of Ludington, Vicky Wenzel of Baldwin, Susan Martines of Texas and Dora Sanborn of Arizona. Also surviving are; hismother, Bernetta Kamradt of Ionia; a brother, Herman of Sand Lake; two sisters,Viola Possehn of Saranac and Evelyn Wiles of Ionia; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will e Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Roetman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial for VFW's Camp Trotter has been established, in care of the funeral home. Additional Comments: Balcom Cem.
