Free From Pain

Mrs. Belle Kanouse Lays Down the Sceptre to Receive the Crown – Died Thursday 
Morning.

Mrs. Belle Kanouse, of this city, passed away at the home of her father, John 
Cartridge, on the North side, last Thursday morning after a long and painful 
illness, having reached the age of 29 years, four months and 12 days.  The 
funeral was held at the Baptist church on Saturday and was largely attended, 
the remains being interred in the old cemetery.

Among those from out of town who were in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. John 
Bunderson, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Cartridge and daughter, Alice and Mrs. W.C. 
Cahoon, all of Ionia.
