DOD:  Tuesday, 8 April 1919

Frank Kanouse, one of Ionia’s old residents, died Tuesday morning at his home 
at four o’clock.  He was aged eighty-four years and he and his wife had been 
married sixty-six years.  He had also served in the Civil War, being a member 
of the G. A. R. here.  Besides his wife he leaves three children, Bert Kanouse 
and Mrs. Mary Conklin of this city, and Mrs. Nellie Simond of Grand Rapids; 
three children having died.  The funeral will be held at the Church of Christ 
on Thursday afternoon at two o’clock.
