The Ionia Weekly Standard, Friday, September 25, 1896

Viola, wife of Wm. Kanouse, died Monday afternoon at 3:30 at her home on E. 
Washington street.  Age 32.  Funeral at the Easton M. E. church, tomorrow at 2 
o’clock.

Subsequent Publication:  Date unknown

The funeral of Mrs. Wm. Kanouse, at Dildine church, Wednesday, was largely 
attended by old-time neighbors and friends.  The services were by Rev. C. C. 
C. Stafield.  Interment in Easton cemetery.
