Phyllis M. Kanouse, 56, 5451 Roberts St., Orleans, died Sunday evening at 
Butterworth Hospital.  Mrs. Kanouse was born June 30, 1928 at Butternut.  She 
was a member of Orleans United Methodist Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Greg (Margaret) Staffen, Orleans, Mrs. Larry 
(Nancy) Stauffer, Belding, Phyllis Schreer, Orleans, Mrs. William (Teresa) 
Wright, Belding, Mrs. Jerry (Carol) Chaffins, Orleans; a son, Harold and Sharon 
Kanouse, Orleans; her parents, Russell and Ireta Bogart, Kalkaska; a sister, 
Mrs. Basil (Colleen) Krick, Orleans; a brother, Dale and Betty Bogart, 
Kalkaska; and 21 grandchildren.  Her husband, Harold, died in 1981.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding, the 
Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment will be in Orleans Cemetery.  
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
