Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Nov 1972

Earl W. Kanouse, 90, of 987 Hackett died Sunday afternoon at Ionia County
Memorial hospital.

Surviving are two sons, Thurman of Grand Rapids and Harold of Orleans; five
daughters, Mrs. Betty Laney of Oregon, Mrs. Agnes Spitler of Ionia, Mrs.
Gertrude Smalley of Saranac, Mrs. Esther Olmstead and Mrs. Marie Olmstead of
Orleans; 34 grandchildren and 65 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Stone-Kauffman funeral home,
John H. Doughty director.  Rev. Joseph Noom of Free Methodist church will
officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery.  Family will be at the
funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
