Mrs. Karow suffered a cerebral hemorrhage about two weeks ago and had been confined to the hospital since. She was 55 years of age, was born in Grattan township, Feb. 24, 1896, the daughter of William and Alta Hall. She graduated from Belding High school in 1915. Long active in civic affairs, Mrs. Karow was a member of the Methodist church, treasurer of the W. S. C. S. and superintendent of the Cradle Roll Dept. She also was a member of the W. C.T.U., Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Auxiliary. She was married to John Karow, April 9, 1937. He survives. A daughter by a previous marriage, Mrs. Louise Jacobs of Springfield, Mo., also survives; also an aunt, Mrs. Nelly Sheldon of Belding, an uncle, A. C. Snyder of Ypsilanti, and one grandson, Theodore Jacobs. Funeral service will be held at two o’clock Friday at the Methodist church, Belding. Rev. Lester Clough will officiate. Cremation will be in Detroit with interment in Ashley cemetery.
