Lake Odessa Wave - Times
          ESTHER L. KART
   LAKE ODESSA -- Esther L Kart, 84, of 1059 Emerson Street in Lake Odessa, died on
Nov. 25 in Sheridan Hospital.
   She was born on Nov. 25, 1896 in Lake Odessa, the daughter of Orris and Ida Rush
Cooley.
   She attended Lake Odessa schools and married Cloid Kart in July of 1915 in Lake
Odessa.
   He preceded her in death in 1941.
   A lifelong resident of Lake Odessa, she was a member of the Lakewood United
Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
   Survivors include one daughter, Velma Sergeant of Belding;  three granddaughters,
Sandra Augst of Decatur, Carol Tomlinson of Greenville and Pamela Hahn of Texas;  one 
brother, LaVern Cooley of Lake Odessa;  and seven great grandchildren.
   Two sons also preceded her in death, Arthur in 1929 and Leo in 1979
   Services were held on Nov. 28 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa
with the Rev. James Hulett officiating.
   Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
