Mr. Katz died in the hospital there of tuberculosis, aged 49 years. The body was accompanied here by his sister, Mrs. Amelia Wilkinson, who resides in Detroit and who had been giving him care and attention during his illness. The deceased married Miss Eva Atwood, daughter of Mrs. H.S. Andrews, about 23 years ago. She died a few years after their marriage leaving a daughter, now Miss Nevine Tower of Greenville. The interment took place in the Otisco cemetery by the side of his wife. Rev. A.J. Blair of the Congregational church performing the last sad rites of burial. Among the relatives present were: Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Atwood, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Atwood and Henry Filkins of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Henrietta Andrews of Saranac, Miss Nevine Tower and her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tower of Greenville.
