Daniel George Kauffman, 18, of Saranac died May 25, 1996 of accidental 
injuries.  He was born October 27, 1977 in Ionia, the son of Bernard and Diane 
(Hunt) Kauffman.  He was employed by Herbruck Egg Farm in Saranac.

He is survived by his parents, Bernie and Diane Kauffman, of Saranac; 
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kauffman, of Ionia and Mrs. Ruth Hunt, of 
Belding; great-grandmother Vesta Hummel, of Lowell; sisters: Heather Kauffman, 
of Ionia and Heidi Kauffman, of Saranac; nephew Dylan Burnell, of Ionia; and 
several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Saranac Community Church with 
Rev. Gary Davis officiating.  Interment will be in Saranac Cemetery and 
visitation will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 
p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.  Memorial contributions may be made 
to the Saranac Fire Department.
