Arthur L. Kauffman, 78, of Ionia, passed away Oct. 30, 2013, in Ionia.  He was 
born April 26, 1935, in Ionia, the son of Vance and Alice (Weatherbee) 
Kauffman. Arthur married Barbara Constantine on June 15, 1957, in Ionia. 

He worked for Consumers Energy as a lineman for 35 years.  Arthur was a member 
of the Ionia Moose Lodge.  He was an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Kauffman of Ionia; 
children, Lori (Dave) Spaulding of Ada, Kelli (Tom) Stevenson of Grand Rapids, 
Connie (Dale) Hanses of Westphalia and Vance (Tracy) Kauffman of Ionia; 
brother, Donald (Nora) Kauffman of Saranac; sister, Shirley Leik of Ionia; nine 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 
parents and brother-in-law, Bill Leik.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia.  Memorial contributions may be made in Arthur's name to 
Great Lakes Hospice.
