DANIEL R. KAUFFMAN
LAKE ODESSA - Daniel R. Kauffman, 32, of Woodland, died Friday of injuries sustained
in a construction accident in Ponciana, Fla., in which a friend, Mark Philips, also was
fatally injured.

Born June 5, 1956, in Grand Rapids, he was the son of Roger and Betty Leazenby 
Kauffman. He attended Lakewood High School.

He was married to Susan Lackey Jan. 19, 1974, She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer, and a son, Daniel Jr.; his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Roger Leazenby of Bradenton, Fla.; two brothers, Dennis and David, both of Lake
Odessa; three sisters, Diana Boyer of Sarasota, Fla., Darlene Phole and Debbie Salazar, both
of Lake Odessa; his grandparents, Roy and Estella Kauffman of Lake Odessa and Opal Leazenby
of Clarksville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Lakewood United Methodist 
Church, with the Rev. Clarence Lackey and the Rev. Ward Pierce officiating.

Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Park.

The family will be at Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
