KAUFFMAN, CHARLES HENRY:
   THE LAKE ODESSA WAVE, MI, Thurs., 7-19-1945, front page:  "Charles Kauffman
Died Saturday p.m. - Charles Henry Kauffman, 85, died Saturday afternoon at the
home of his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bartlett here.  He was
born December 26, 1859, at Bangor, Pa., and came to Michigan with his parents
when he was very young.
   His wife, the former Isabelle Koutz, died 12 years ago and at that time he
retired from his farm near here to make his home with his children here.
   He is also survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Dan Archer in Lake Odessa
and Mrs. Thelma Pew in Lansing, two sisters Mrs. Ida Stout and Mrs. Ella Carey
at Ionia, two brothers Samuel here and Frank at Woodland, and eight grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Bartlett home on Jordan
Lake avenue and burial was in Lakeside cemetery.  The Rev. Donald J. Holbrook
officiated."
   Charles Henry's death record gave his parents' names as Jonas and Catherine,
both of PA.
