Kaufman, 72, of 518 High street, died at noon Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Warren B. Carr, of Port Huron, as the result of a heart condition. Mr. and Mrs. Kaufman had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Monday June 26, at their home in Ionia. Nettie Belle Rowley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Rowley of Ionia and was married June 26, 1894 to Allan Z. Kaufman, also of Ionia. The couple made their home in Ionia until 1919 when they moved to Owosso later moving to Detroit where they resided for 20 years before returning to Ionia more than two years ago. Surviving are the husband Allan, three children, Dr. Victor R. Kaufman, Ionia dentist, Crawford Kaufman of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Warren B. Carr of Port Huron; also two grandchildren, Donovan Kaufman of Lake Odessa and Carolyn Carr of Port Huron; one brother, W____? Rowley, of Medford, Oregon. The body was taken to the Stone funeral home, Ionia, and after Saturday morning will repose at the residence 518 High Street. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the residence. Rev. Paul L. Stewart will officiate and burial will be in Highland Park cemetery. ---- Final rites for Mrs. Allan Z. Kaufman, 72, who died suddenly at her daughter’s home in Port Huron, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the residence, 518 High Street, Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiated and burial was in the family lot in Highland Park cemetery. In charge of floral arrangements were Mrs. George Dye and Mrs. Thomas Latimer. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey L. Thompson and Mrs. Thane Benedict sang. Pallbearers were her two sons, Dr. Victor Kaufman and Walter Crawford Kaufman, a son-in-law Warren B. Carr, specialist first class United States naval reserve, Thomas E. Latimer, Roy Lord and Claude Dumont. Attending services from away were Roy Dildine, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Latimer and daughter, Eileen, and Mr. and Mrs. George Rowley of Lansing; Mrs. Lorena A. Letts, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Skarritt and Mrs. Jessie E. Rose of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Irving Roode of Grand Rapids, Mrs. D.M. Magers of Hutchinson, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. O.I. Buche, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Crawford Kaufman and son Don___ of Lake Odessa; Warren B. Carr, specialist first class, and Mrs. Carr and daughter, Carolyn, of Port Huron.
