The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, April 30, 1979

Mrs. Patricia Kavanagh, 78, of 10673 Bluewater Highway, died Saturday in a 
Lansing hospital.  She was born March 17, 1901, in Pewamo, the daughter of 
Frank and Gertrude Ulrich Cook.

Her husband, James, preceded her in death.  She was retired from the Michigan 
Department of Corrections.

She is survived by two sons, Donald of Portland, and C. Joseph of Pewamo; two 
daughters, Mrs. William (Alice) Piggott of Lansing and Mrs. Paul (Carol) 
Witgen of Fowler; one sister, Mrs. Dora Piggott of Ionia; 17 grandchildren; 
and one great-grandchild.

Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Church, Pewamo, Monsignor 
Thomas Bolger officiating.  Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pewamo.  
Bearers were Douglas and Stephen Piggott and Dennis, William, Michael and 
Kenneth Kavanagh.  Arrangements were made by Neller Funeral Home, Portland.
