Ionia Sentinel Standard, 30 Aug 1951

Funeral services for Mrs. Adeline Marian Kay, 39, of Santee, South Carolina, 
were held Wednesday, August 22, from the Hurst funeral home in Sumpter, S.C.

Mrs. Kay, the former Adeline Marina Grinnell, daughter of Alpha Grinnell, of 
Ionia, died August 19 after an illness of four days.  She was found unconscious 
on the floor of her home and was removed to a hospital in Orangeburg, S.C., 
where she died.

She was born in Sidney on March 24, 1912.  Mrs. Kay lived in Ionia as a child 
and attended the Ionia public schools.  She was married on June 7, 1951, to 
Charles Kay, Sr., and her husband survives her.

Also surviving is a daughter, Beverly Darling, of Chicago, a child by a former 
marriage.  Her father and one sister, Mrs. Charles Wesner of Greenville 
survive, also.

Mrs. Charles Wesner attended the funeral services and arrived home Tuesday 
morning.
