KAYE
Virginia Elaine Kaye, age 92, of Grand Rapids (formerly Lowell, Mi and 
Bradenton, FL) was called to her eternal home on April 9, 2019, surrounded by 
her family. Virginia was born December 30, 1026. She was a 1944 graduate of 
Catholic Central High School. 

She married Eugene (Gene) Kaye on August 27, 1948, and they celebrated 60 
years of marriage prior to his death in 2010. Virginia and Gene built and ran 
Arrowhead Gold Course in Lowell, MI which would be a labor of love and the 
birthplace of the work ethic and love for the game that they instilled in 
their children. When patron would complain about the green fees, Virginia was 
quick to point out,"The Sunshine is Free." Her proudest accomplishments were 
her children, and great-grandchildren who gave her the title she was most 
proud of in her last several years. Gigi.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary L. (Jeff) Jones of Grand Rapids, Mi; 
Susan J. (Dennis) Meltzer of Grand Rapids, MI; Elizabeth A. Bindley of Grand 
Rapids, MI; and son, Michael J.(Jama) Kaye of Indianapolis, IN. Also 
surviving are six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Virginia on 
Saturday, April 13, at 11 AM in the Marian Chapel (enter at door A. southwest 
entrance off Ada drive) at St. Robert of Newminster Parish, 6477 Ada  Dr. 
Ada, MI 49301. Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Family will greet friends and 
relatives one hour prior to the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made 
to St. Robert of Newminster Parish.
